Scope of Work

We provide control engineering and automation engineering, programming and implementation for systems, implement battery storage control systems (smartBattery) and smartEMS™ as an energy management system for microgrids and battery parks, and develop highly customized software modules.

Plant controllers and grid protection

We implement the Bachmann SPPC as a certified plant controller in power generation systems and enable the integration of different battery storage systems and multiple batteries for long-term, efficient operation, including through our in-house software module PrioHUB. We optimize the utilization and service life of BESS and generating units, meet the requirements of the grid operator (mandatory requirement), provide web-based visualization of the controller and system, and combine the systems into a smartEMS™ where required.

Generating Unit Control Modules

We develop customized industrial control systems that combine inverters with one or more batteries to create a controllable generating unit or smartBAT. The basis for this is the standardized SmartBattery Interface (SBI) implemented by us, which enables the control of different battery-inverter combinations. The modules can be natively integrated into the Bachmann plant controller and are also suitable for use in critical infrastructure.

Operation and Maintenance of Battery Storage Power Plants

We actively and/or periodically monitor battery storage systems and respond appropriately to the respective operating situation. We continuously ensure operational safety by implementing necessary actions such as repairs and updates, and provide ongoing access for intervention in coordination with the customer. We review and analyze the operating environment monthly and provide recommendations for action. We also support customers with expansions, communicate with manufacturers and suppliers, and accompany ongoing operations.

SCADA Cloud

We develop, operate and provide an IoT data cloud with Software as a Service (SaaS) for the operational management of energy systems, exclusively in Germany and operated using European or open-source software. The cloud integrates customer-specific systems across manufacturers, particularly battery storage systems and renewable energy systems (RES), records and processes their operational and fault data in real time, and is connected in a KRITIS-compliant manner via a certified M2M telecommunications network.
